About Our Dr. Adam Weaver

Dr. Adam Weaver graduated from Fort Collins High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. He then attended Brigham Young University (BYU) for his undergraduate studies. He took a two-year leave from BYU to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Paraguay, South America. While on his mission he learned how to speak fluent Spanish, Portuguese, and Guarani. After his mission he continued to teach Spanish to missionaries preparing to serve in Spanish-speaking countries while continuing his studies at BYU. He has a bachelor’s degree in Medical Science. He then attended dental school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Graduating in the top of his class, he was accepted in a periodontal residency program at the V.A. Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While attending the residency program, he worked as a general dentist in a pre-dominantly Spanish-speaking community. He also taught at Marquette University and attained a Master’s of Science degree at Marquette University. He did his Master’s thesis on the efficacy of anti-microbial gels in the treatment of periodontal disease. In July of 2000, Dr. Weaver purchased the current practice from Dr. F. Leon McDonald.

Dr. Weaver married his wife Alyson in 1994. They have four wonderful children: Connor, Preston, Adin, and Mia. Their three boys and their daughter keep them very busy. Needless to say, family is Dr. Weaver’s top priority.

Dr. Weaver is an avid triathlete having competed in numerous competitions at all lengths and throughout the country. He enjoys cycling, running, swimming, mountain biking, snow-boarding, mountain climbing, riding motorcycles, scuba diving and any and everything with his family. He is a very active member of his church and has served in various capacities there. He also enjoys serving in Central and South America providing free dental care to under-served and/or impoverished areas.
